Kirstin Gunderson is an Energy Program Manager at Facebook, where she is focused on energy efficiency, clean and renewable energy, and energy information management across Facebook’s data center fleet. At the time of her award, Kirstin was a Senior Manager for Walmart’s Energy Team, where she was awarded for her clean energy efforts. While at Walmart, she helped drive the successful deployment and management of Walmart’s onsite renewable portfolio—advancing Walmart’s goal to produce or procure 7 billion kilowatt-hours of renewable energy globally by 2020, and the company’s long-term goal to be supplied by 100 percent renewable energy. In 2013, Kirstin led the installation of Walmart’s first 1-megawatt onsite wind turbine in Red Bluff, CA. In her work at Facebook, She continues to advance the goal of clean energy in the technology space.
